Our Story
Founded in 2019, Amola was born from a personal skincare journey that began during the COVID-19 pandemic, when our founder faced a misdiagnosed skin condition and turned to West African heritage for healing. What began as a return to ancestral remedies quickly evolved into a mission: to create clean, effective skincare rooted in tradition.
We blend ancient rituals with contemporary wellness—offering elevated, small-batch essentials made with ethically sourced ingredients. Every formula is crafted with intention: gentle enough for sensitive skin, rich in cultural integrity, and designed to fit beautifully into modern routines.
Amola is where tradition meets today—redefining self-care through heritage, healing, and high standards.

Our Founder
Nafanua Adetunji, the visionary and founder of our brand, initially embarked on a thriving career in hospitality that spanned nearly two decades. Nafanua built her career around crafting memorable, high-touch experiences. Drawing upon her extensive professional background and deep appreciation for both the beauty industry and cultural heritage, she passionately crafted Amola, a brand that pays homage to the enduring legacy of African culture, which has transcended generations and crossed the Atlantic.
Amola was born out of her deeply personal journey during the COVID-19 pandemic, a time marked by uncertainty, isolation, and self-discovery. During this period, Nafanua battled a misdiagnosed skin virus that left her feeling insecure and desperate for solutions. This challenge became the catalyst for a return to ancestral knowledge, clean ingredients, and intentional care—sparking the creation of a brand that would offer both healing and heritage.
As a proud mother of two and autism advocate, Nafanua is dedicated to fostering inclusivity and awareness within the beauty and wellness space. Beyond product creation, Nafanua is emerging as a respected voice in conversations around wellness, motherhood, entrepreneurship, and advocacy. Her story continues to resonate with audiences seeking authenticity, balance, and healing.
